Initially superheroine Virtue (AKA Tanya Danielle) believes that she is battling anti-American forces. Her captors have done their best to give the blonde crimefighter that impression. They strip her of her magic gloves, gag her with a huge ballgag, and then handcuff her to a railing inside a stairwell of their deceptively pleasant suburban hideout. Throughout the proceedings they mock her thwarted efforts to save the United States from peril. All of the masked men speak in muffled tones, but Virtue thinks she detects a Texas accent in one of their voices. After they leave she remains shackled for hours, various conspiracy theories circulating inside of her mind.
